Sept. 10 -The Zurich-based international hotel group, Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, recently announced their plans to enter India through a management contract with the Ambuja Group which is setting up a 147-room hotel at Rajarhat township, east of Kolkata.
Meinhard Huck, the Swissotel president and company head, was quoted in The Hindu as saying “The hotel chain also plans to mark its presence in at least two more Indian cities by next year.”
Following the signed management agreement, Ambuja Housing Development’s hotel would be marketed as a Swissotel entity.The hotel will also carry its restaurant brands like the Café Swiss.
